Laptop was working fine up until yesterday when I attempted to wake it up. I pressed the power button and nothing happened. I tried a hard reset by holding the power button down for 15 seconds or so, the blue light at the power cable connection blinked for a moment, but no activity at screen. When the power cord is removed, there are no lights or activity at all. I attempted to use a USB C Charger, but had no response from the Computer.

 

Needing help. This level of quality and failure is not acceptable for a barely used laptop.

Not sure what needed to be done, but I removed the bottom with the expectation that I would need to replace one of the diodes, but all I needed to do was remove power from the motherboard and replace after a few minutes.

bios complained for a minute, but all seems to be alright.

 

Making the battery a non user replaceable component (without disassembly anyhow) really blocks some basic troubleshooting. 

 

Make batteries external again!
