HP Envy 13 - Just purchased, trouble getting started

Hello

 

Just purchased my Envy 13 notebook and struggling to get it to boot up Windows for the first time. 

 

Plugged in in mains supply as instructed, it then asks some basic questions, then suggests Use Express Settings, then just gets locked into a 'Just a moment...' loop. Eventually repeats this loop.

Can you please give more details.

What is the last step you did?

what is looping? What is on the screen?

Is it doing the Windows 10 updates?

Hi Tardis40. Thanks for your reply. 

 

Have sorted it. Took it back to the retailers, John Lewis, whose technical guys had a look at it and decided it's a faulty machine. They replaced it with a new one, which I've set up this afternoon. All working perfectly :)

 

I think they will return the defective one backup HP.
