@Sanitasan,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the HP Smart app or driver installer is running into an issue after detecting your HP Envy 6000 series printer. Try the following troubleshooting steps.

Restart Everything

  • Restart your computer and printer.
  • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run it to detect any issues with installation.

Reinstall HP Smart & Drivers Manually

For Windows:

  1. Uninstall HP Smart & Drivers:
    • Press Win + R, type appwiz.cpl, and hit Enter.
    • Find HP Smart and any HP drivers, then uninstall them.
    • Restart your PC.
  2. Download & Install the Full Driver:
    • Go to HP's official site and enter your printer model.
    • Download the Full Feature Software and Drivers.
    • Install the driver without using HP Smart (choose USB or Wi-Fi setup manually).

For Mac:

  1. Remove Existing Printer Profiles:
    • Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select the HP Envy 6000, then click Remove.
  2. Download & Install HP Easy Start:
    • Get the latest HP Easy Start from HP's website and run the installer.

Use a Different Setup Method

  • If the installer page goes blank again, try setting up the printer via Windows Settings:
    • Windows 11/10:
      • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
      • Click Add a Printer and follow the prompts.

Check Firewall & Antivirus

  • Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall (like Windows Defender or McAfee) while installing the software.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
