HP Envy x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-fh0000 (77W46AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I have a problem with my relatively new HP Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop. Whenever I connect the laptop to the docking station, the screens freeze and an unexpected restart occurs. After the restart, the screens connected to the docking station cannot be controlled. The HP notebook has no problems without the docking station. If I connect my business Dell notebook to the docking station, everything works perfectly.

After such a crash, I find the following error message in the Windows Event Viewer:

I connected an HP USB-C Universal Docking Station and installed all the drivers that came with it. You would have thought that HP would work with HP, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
I have now downloaded and installed a current DisplayLink driver. So far everything seems to be working.

Sounds like you connected to a bad docking station and/or they are NOT compatible and somehow it caused damage to your computer. Do you know which docking station is ? Is it the same as your Dell dock ?

Regards.
