Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

The laptop went into an update (was supposed to be about 5 min per on screen message) that included updating the BIOS.  Per on screen instructions I left   AC adapter plugged in.   Eventually (15+ minutes) I noticed that the screen was black.  The light on the power button remained lit, as did the AC power indicator light.

 

I turned off the power and turned it back on, several times, and stuck with black screen.

 

I’m no IT expert…where do I start?
