I keep getting the same message when I turn on my laptop.
"No bootable device - insert boot disk & press any key."
Can anyone please help?
Where do I get a boot disk?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
I look forward to hearing from someone.

This error message normally indicates that the internal drive has failed to the degree that the BIOS can no longer read the Windows boot files to launch Windows. From what I could find, this model came out in 2009, so given that this is around 15 years old, that is not a surprise.
You would need to replace the drive, and if this is of the old IDE variety that was popular back then, you are out of luck because those model drives have not been sold for many years.
Even then, with a new drive, you would not be able to find the Vista OS it originally came with, nor can you even find Windows 7 anymore from regular online retailers.
I did a quick eBay check and these are selling in the $50 USD range -- so it would cost a LOT more to fix this than to simply buy a replacement.
