I was updating printer firmware in the company, up until i began with this one.I started the transfer of the .rfu firmware file, but it stopped the transfer not long after I started it, stating that I did not have the permissions needed to transfer the file. When I went to look what the printer said, there was an error code, but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough to read what it said before it disappeared. After the error code went away, it said "Resend Update". Which I did. Again and again, with a power cycle between every try. I gave it approximately 10-15 minutes before I took the power, but it always end up saying "Resend Update". Then I tried searching for the problem, with absolutely no luck. I was thinking about leaving it, since the configuration page said it was updated to the new version, but since the "Resend Update" text wasn't planning on going away, I figured I probably had to fix it somehow.
Then I tried to do a cold reset and hoped for the best, but the text was still there. Then I tried to do a Hard Disk Initialization, with no luck.
Then I tried to reboot the printer again, because maybe it was going to work after the 10th time. It just made everything worse.
Now when the printer is booting, it gets stuck saying 5/6 - B/F, with the HP icon flashing on the display.Since I thought that everything couldn't get worse now, I tried a NVRAM Initialization or flash. Didn't do anything.
So this is where I am, and where I would like some help, since I can't find ANYTHING on the internet regarding this, and all I do find, has links that lead to either a 404 or nothing. Maybe it is just me who can't figure out how to google, who knows.
Any help is gladly appreciated.
