Hi,
I purchased the HP Notebook 15-da1002na in 2023, but unfortunately, I have never been able to use it properly because it takes nearly an hour to boot. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a laptop.
Serial Number: CDN9320TSB
Model: HP Notebook 15-da1002na
Is there any way to improve its performance and make it usable? I would appreciate any guidance or solutions you can provide.
Thanks,

Hi:
There are a couple of inexpensive upgrades you can do that should significantly improve the performance of your notebook.
The specs indicate that it comes with a 1 TB mechanical hard drive and 1 x 8 GB of memory.
HP Notebook 15-da1002na Product Specifications | HP® Support
Install a much faster performing M.2 NVMe solid state drive (SSD) and either remove the 1 TB drive or use it for additional storage.
Suggested NVMe SSD. This is the 1 TB model, but you can go with less storage if you want:
You will have to format the drive and remove Windows from it if you want to retain it for storage.
Your notebook has two memory slots and since it came with 1 x 8 GB of memory, you can add a second 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot and have double the memory which will also run in the higher performing dual channel mode.
The memory only runs in single channel mode with 1 x 8 GB.
A suggested 8 GB memory chip:

Hi there,
Thanks for providing the solution! Now, the laptop is working much faster.
However, I have noticed another issue (this issue was already there before updating Drive & RAM):
When the processor utilization exceeds 15%, the laptop's fan runs at high speed and produces noticeable noise. (It's the fan noise, not any crackling sound.)
Could you please suggest a solution for this?

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't know what you can do about that problem and suggest that you start a new discussion.
Only 15% processor usage and a revving fan does not seem normal to me is all I can say.
