HP Omen laptop gets power but will not power on. Have replace battery and tried to run without battery. Light on back shows power to PC but PC won't boot. Took to BestBuy and they were unable to troubleshoot. They think it might be a motherboard issue.

@jkpaskvan, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Omen Laptop that Will Not Power On!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP Omen laptop shows that it is receiving power but will not boot, and you have already replaced the battery and tried running it without the battery, here are some steps you can follow to potentially identify and resolve the issue:
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Remove it from any port replicator or docking station.
- Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.
- Unplug the AC adapter from the laptop.
- Disconnect the battery (if it is user-removable).
- Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the laptop, but do not reconnect any peripheral devices.
- Press the power button to turn on the laptop.
- If a startup menu appears, use the arrow keys to select "Start Windows Normally" and then press the Enter key.
Check for Blinking Light Codes:
- During startup, the laptop may not boot properly, but it will use blinking light codes to help identify the cause of the failure.
- Refer to the blinking light codes section in the HP support documentation to decipher these error codes:
- A single blink can indicate issues like the processor not executing code.
- Two blinks might indicate BIOS recovery issues.
- Three to five blinks can point to memory, graphics, or system board errors respectively.
Reseat Cables and Connections:
- Loose connections or cables can cause hardware components to malfunction. Ensure all internal cables are properly connected.
- This includes the power cable, hard drive connection, and display cable.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
