HP Pavilion Notebook turns off with half battery left

HP Notebook (Pavilion M7S73AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

For 2-3 weeks my laptop has been turning off with 30-50% battery left.  As soon as it is plugged in, I have no problems.

While attempting to turn the computer back on (before I plug it in) the computer usually shuts down before I get to the login screen.  On a few occasions, however, I have succesfully logged in and started my web browser before it shuts down again.

Every time that my computer dips into this margin, it kills all proccesses (unexpected shutdown).  I have tried different power options, but they just delay how long the battery stays above 30-50%.

I do not know of any other details.

Thanks for reading
