Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

HP Pavilion laptop with windows 8.1

The laptop is not starting.  On starting it gives error message " YOUR PC RAN IN TO A PROBLEM AND NEED RESTART".

After Restarting it gives error message " YOUR PC DID NOT START CORRECTLY"

I tried starting using startup repair but it failed and gives error message " WINDOWS COULD NOT LOAD CORRECTLY"

Try System Restore.

I tried  STARTUP SETTINGS  OPTION and starting in SAFE MODE but the PC is not going in SAFE MODE STARTING after pressing the f4 switch  and not starting up and not switching in safe mode too.

I tried using SYSTEM RESTORE but it gives error message LOW DISK SPACE IN C DRIVE.

Please help me how to fix this problems and Restart my Laptop for use with no  data/files losses.

An early solutions to my this problems will be appreciated.

@Ram120660, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Use Command Prompt to Clear Temporary Files

  1. In Advanced Startup, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Command Prompt.
  2. In the Command Prompt window, type this command: del /f /s /q %temp%\*
  3. Press Enter. This will delete temporary files and free up space.

Perform a Startup Repair using Windows Installation Media

If the above doesn't work, you can try using Windows installation media (USB/DVD) to perform a repair:HP PCs - Installing Windows 11 from a USB flash drive | HP® Support

  1. Boot from Windows installation media (USB or DVD) by setting it as the first boot device in BIOS.
  2. Choose Repair Your Computer.
  3. Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair.

Use Disk Cleanup or Reset (if possible)

If you manage to get to the desktop after freeing up space, you can try running Disk Cleanup or performing a Reset this PC to restore it to factory settings.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it might be necessary to reinstall Windows or perform a system reset from a recovery partition.
