Pavillion

The laptop HP - Pavilion x360 2-in-1 14" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD - Natural Silver - 14m-dw1013dx gpu that I have will not turn on. We bought it a new battery and it starts charging but occasionally the light flashes white and the screen refuses to come on. I've tried doing windows + b and spamming F6. What else can I do.

Hi @KoHAsh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've tried some troubleshooting steps already. Since you've replaced the battery and attempted a couple of key combinations without success, here are a few more things you could try.

  • Hard Reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve power-related issues. To perform a hard reset, disconnect the laptop from any power sources (including the charger), remove the battery (if possible), and hold down the power button for about 30 seconds. Then, reinsert the battery (if removable) or reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop again.
  • Check Power Adapter and Cable: Make sure the power adapter is functioning properly and that the cable isn't damaged. Try using a different power adapter and cable if you have one available to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Check for Loose Connections: Ensure all cables and connectors, including those connecting the display to the motherboard, are securely plugged in. Sometimes, loose connections can cause power or display issues.
  • External Monitor Test: Connect an external monitor to your laptop to see if you get any display output. If the external monitor works fine, it could indicate a problem with the laptop's internal display or display cable.
  • BIOS Update: If you can't get any display output, it's possible that a BIOS update might help. However, since you're unable to access the BIOS screen, this may be challenging.

Since you've already tried some troubleshooting steps, it's possible that the issue could be hardware-related rather than software-related.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
