HP Pavilion x360 convertible 15-cr0xxx

Hello, for the last couple months my laptop has been intermittently not wanting to turn on unless I remove the battery. It will also not charge or power on until I remove and reinstall the battery also. Now mind you to remove the battery, i have to remove the back cover and unscrew the battery so it gets annoying. The weird thing is, is once I disconnect and reconnect the battery, I will have no issues while I use it. I usually put my laptop to sleep in between classes and sometimes the computer "dies" and I have to remove the battery again. Sometimes I will go a couple days without having any issues. I have purchased a new battery and that did nothing. I have always used my genuine HP charger. When I perform system tests it passes everything. Is there anything else I could try? I am at a total loss.
