HP Spectre X360 13-4116DX 13.3"...
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I received an error about the fan not working. Said it would shut down. Upon inspection I see the case is swollen. The battery was expanding.  I open it up and replace the battery. Then it won't start, not even an error message like before.

I tried without the battery, connected to power, the old battery, but same result.

The power button blinks 3.5 second on, 2.5 seconds off.

What could be the issue?

Thanks

Hi @owly1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!

So the blinking pattern says nothing that I could do something about?
