HP Recommended

I recently replaced my swollen battery with an OEM replacement. Now the laptop won't boot up when on battery power, even at full charge, though it works fine when plugged in. I've run the battery diagnostic, which shows all battery tests passed. Sometimes the laptop will shut off completely and unexpectedly when power is removed, but other times I can operate on battery power after turning the laptop on while plugged in. When on battery power, pressing the power button doesn't even light up the white LED.
