My new Bluetooth Mouse(Logitech M720) and Keyboard (Logitech K850) will not wake my laptop from Sleep/Hibernate modes.  Old USB Keyboard and Mouse still works fine.  I went into a ton of forums and they all indicate you must go into Power Management Tab within Device Manager and make sure "Allow this device to wake the computer" is toggled on.  However, all drivers associated with Bluetooth either doesn't have this tab or the check box is blank and the area is greyed out.

  • Firmware/BIOS is up to date N42
  • Device Manager | Bluetooth | Keyboard K850 | Power Management tab is not there
  • Device Manager | Bluetooth | M720 Triathlon | Power Management tab is not there
  • Device Manager | Human Interface Devices | All options | Power Management tab is there but "Allow this device to wake the computer" is greyed out. (this includes the USB options)
  • Device Manager | Mice and other pointing devices | HID-compliant  mouse and Synaptics SMBus Touchpad | Power Management tab is there and option "Allow this device to wake the computer" is checked and working correctly.  (Assuming this is why USB  works.)
  • Both Bluetooth devices wakes my other Dell Laptop just fine.

My current work around is to leave an old USB mouse plugged in and jiggle it to wake the computer and then switch back to the Bluetooth devices. Really annoying.

Any suggestions about what to do next?
