Hi @Miko2k,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We understand you're experiencing a black screen with Caps Lock blinking 3 times after a BIOS update (F.29) on your Victus by HP 16.1-inch Gaming Laptop (Model: 16-s0000, 76T54AV). This behavior usually indicates a BIOS failure.
Here’s how to recover your system:
STEP 1: Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop completely (hold the power button for ~10 seconds).
- Unplug the AC adapter.
- Disconnect all peripherals (USBs, external displays, etc.).
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect just the power adapter and try to power on again.
If the screen remains black and blinking persists, continue below.
STEP 2: BIOS Restore:
1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in
2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
If this doesn't help, we have to try a BIOS flash using a USB drive. Try and let me know.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
