HP pavillion not booting up

HP Pavillion 15-p114dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm having trouble getting my laptop to boot up. When I connect the battery, or plug in the charger the power botton lights up, but doesn't boot up. When I press the power botton I hear a beep, and the light flashes then nothing.

HP pavillion not booting up

Hallo BIG_BDR,

Lets see if some simple TS can solve it.

Take out our battery and ac adapater.

Press down the power buttom 15 sec.

Plug only the ac adapter in again and see if you can start it.

If that does not work

Press and hold down the windows buttom + "B" press the power buttom down in 2sec not more or less. after this 2 sec. release all the buttoms.

Hope this solves your problem

If not please let me know how many beeps your hear? are they/it short or long?

Thanks.

Thanks for your speedy response.

I tried that no luck. I hear a high pitch buzz when I plug in the ac adapter. No more beeping.

HP pavillion not booting up

Hallo again,

Well if you still are in warranty I would recommend you to contact your HP department in your country since it sounds some hardware problem. Most likely your motherboard.

You can find the number for your HP department on this link: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Hope they can help you out.
