Product: Pavillion laptop

Failure id given after completing quick check on hard drive, on laptop that fails to turn on. Tried help from HP via app. Used virtual assistant but got nowhere. Any advice appreciated thanks.

Hi:

 

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 SMART Hard Drive Detects Imminent Failure, means the hard drive is about to fail, or has failed, and a new one needs to be installed, as well as the operating system.

 

Consult the service manual for your specific model notebook for the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
