When I turn my laptop on it takes me to a screen that displays the message 'SMART hard disk error' 

 

Hard disk (301)

I press f2 for a diagnostic and it takes me to the hardware diagnostic page and I run a quick check on the hard drive and it fails giving me a failure I'd 

 

Sometimes I can force startup and it will load up the laptop really slowly and then sometimes an hour sometimes not it will.tell me theres a problem with my PC and shut down 😞 please help

Hi:

 

If you can still get into Windows, back up any files you don't want to lose onto a portable hard drive.

 

If you are getting a failure code, that means the hard drive has to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook where you can find the HDD R & R procedure.

You may want to consider purchasing a better performing, normally more reliable 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).
