HP ENVY Laptop PC 13-ba1000 (1F4D5AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Good morning. My laptop suddenly failed one day, seemingly out of nowhere. The screen froze, so I turned it off. However, I couldn't turn it back on; the screen remained black, never advancing to the 'hp' logo screen, and the fan would start running quickly. I could turn it off only by steadily pressing the power button.

As my laptop is no longer under warranty, I took it to a technical service. Unfortunately, they couldn't resolve the issue and only suggested buying a new laptop. Additionally, they couldn't retrieve data from the hard drive, which is my current urgency, given the important information stored there. The hard drive appears to have blocked itself (showing as 'protected'), a feature I don't recall setting up.

I need help recovering access to the hard drive's information. Is there any way I can contact the manufacturer or take it to an official support venue to have it unblocked? Four years' worth of work is stored there.
Many thanks in advance.
