Hard drive short dst check failed

So, my laptop boots into automatic repair, then goes to a black screen and nothing further happens. I opened the boot menu and ran a check, and it's telling me it's failing the hard drive dst check.

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means that the hard drive needs to be replaced and the operating system reinstalled.

You may want to consider purchasing a better performing, normally more reliable 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).

After you replace the drive, you can reinstall W10 as follows...

To reinstall W10, you can make your own 8 GB bootable USB W10 64 bit installation media using the media creation tool at the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
