Hi,

Since last tuesday, i've been getting some high pitched hissing (around one second long)  whenever i started my pc or getting it back from hibernate. The crackling sound (supposedly linked to another audio problem that rose along) would appear only in the mid start without lasting as long as the hissing noise.

I hoped that  making a complete reset factory or updating the bios (from f.35 to the available f.52 for my notebook)  may help me, but the problem sadly stayed and now I can't see another source than  a hardware one.

Is there any correction on my end i could use?

Please run an audio Test from F2 Diagnostic and let me know if the issue persists

- Shut down the Notebook completely
- Turn it back on, then tap the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup menu screen is displayed.
- Press F2 to select System Diagnostics.

@KrazyToad

Thanks for your reply :).

I tried the Diagnostic (on an uptodate version) on the audio, but the buzzing sound accompanying the procedure aside, it turned out fine without providing any help. I used the opportunity to make all tests available on the HP Diagnostics and they all passed with flying colours, which, in a way, kind of reassure me on the integrity of my pc.

I'll contact the regional HP support and see with them.

Thanks again for your reply, and if any solution come out i'll post it

If the buzzing sound is present during the Test it means it's a Hardware issue
