How do I reset the BIOS or update the BIOS and how can I make the USB drive boot in boot menu? I have been contacting Microsoft multiple times and they need this info to fix my problem.

            You can check the BIOS version using the below document

If the BIOS version is below F.45, then use the below link to download the update BIOS from the below link

How do I reset the BIOS or update the BIOS and how can I make the USB drive boot in boot menu?

The problem is my computer will not load past a black screen with an HP sign on it. I need to know how to do it from the BIOS options when you start it up by using (F10 for example). I cannot load into the computer and Microsoft wants to know how they can change that, so they can instal Windows through a USB stick.

Hi,

 

          When you turn ON the unit start tapping F2 key and it will launch the diagnostic screen. Run a test on Hard disk drive and Memory, check if both the tests passes. 

 

If any one of them fails then you have to replace that part to get the unit working.
