Hp elitebook 8530w won't start

Hello, m'y friends elitebook 8530w won't start. Even charges it doesn't. We don't want to reste the laptop because there is precious information in it. What should we do, please someone help us.

Hello Fred,

 

To begin with,

 

1) Please try hard reset : 

1. Shut down the notebook

2. Unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery

3. Hold  down the Power button for 60 seconds

4. Plug in the Power/AC Adapter (Leave the battery out for the moment) Start the Notebook

 

2) You might want to take a look at this document: Battery Does not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge.

 

It suggests troubleshooting steps to determine if the problem is the battery, the power supply, or the system board.

You might find the answer to your battery/power issue as you work through the steps in that HP support article.
