Envy 13
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, the fans of my hp envy 13 was making noise so i have opened the back board and air dusted them, then i have put the back board on. Once i have tried to start the laptop on, the light comes on but screen stays black. I have tried everything on the forums the hard reset and all sorts but nothing seems to be working. Could you please help me out with this problem? As i am out of options, tried connecting to external monitor it does not work either. The keyboard seems like its not doing anything either just the lights off the charge and power is no and nothing else works. Also i have realised that as soon as i turn it on the fans work for few seconds but then stopes working which causes the laptop to heat. What could have gone wrong still does not make sense. Thank you for your help in advance.

@Olly8 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are getting a black screen.

In that case, I would suggets you conatct our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Or you can conatct a local service center for repair.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Keep us posted,
