Pavilion Laptop 17-ar0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop was working perfectly and till I had to update it after updating it still turned on like normal but I noticed that my mouse was not working. Mouse didnt work in any of the laptops USB ports, attempted to restart PC and I'm stuck in a loop.when I first click the power button the screen flashes as if it's about to boot up. But instead of starting up it just remains black with the occasional flicker as if the laptop was just turned on again. I have tried using an hmdi to use my TV as a screen and that's also a no go.I can use the f keys to go into bios and etc but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi @Oldbeggining

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "no boot" issue.

Let's try these steps -

1. Shutdown the computer.

2. Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.

3. Press F11 once for System Recovery.

4. Choose the Keyboard Layout.

5. Click on Troubleshoot.

6. Go to Recovery Manager and click on System Restore.

7. Choose a Restore point or a Restore date when the computer was working fine.

8. Click on OK to initialize the System Restore.

If the issue still persists, try re-installing the operating system using these steps -  HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
