Help!  My laptop was fine one day and the next it wouldn’t power on.  No lights - nothing!  it is only 2 years old and just out of the extended warranty  that I had purchased.  Paid 1,500 for this laptop expecting great things from it.  Urgently need access to this machine!  I tried changing the battery.  Please help!

@Jzc1

Since the issue persists even after changing the Battery, this could be a motherboard issue

I suggest you contact HP Support for Service Options

I have had the problem diagnosed and it is a bad charging port; it is unable to be fixed by anyone other than HP since the charging port is soldered to the motherboard.  HP wants 500 to fix this!!  After paying almost $2K for the computer 2 years ago, this seems extremely unfair (particularly when part appears to be $10 ).  I purchased the extended warranty, but it expired at the end of April 2019
