Hi,
My laptop often boots up with a BSOD showing the HYPERVISOR ERROR code.
How can I solve this? Takes multiple boots and recovery startup to use my laptop. Then other times it boots normal.

Hi @Freddy96 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with a HYPERVISOR ERROR code on your HP Omen gaming laptop running Windows 11. This type of issue can be caused by various factors, and resolving it might require a combination of troubleshooting steps. Here are some suggestions to help you address the problem:
Update Drivers and Windows: Ensure that your graphics drivers, chipset drivers, and other essential drivers are up-to-date. Also, make sure that your Windows operating system is fully updated.
Check for BIOS/UEFI Updates: Visit the HP support website for your laptop model and check if there are any BIOS/UEFI updates available. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can resolve compatibility issues.
Check for Hypervisor Settings: If you're using virtualization software or have hypervisor features enabled in your BIOS/UEFI settings, try disabling them temporarily to see if the issue persists. Virtualization features can sometimes conflict with certain applications or the operating system.
Run Windows Memory Diagnostic: There may be an issue with your system's memory. Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check for memory-related problems. To do this, type "Windows Memory Diagnostic" in the Start menu, select the tool, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Check for Malware: Perform a full system scan using a reputable antivirus or antimalware program to ensure that your system is not infected with malware.
System File Checker (SFC) and DISM: Open a Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
sfc /scannow
This command will scan and repair corrupted system files. Additionally, run the following DISM command:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
These commands can help fix corruption issues in the system.
Review Event Viewer: Check the Event Viewer for more details about the BSOD. Look for critical errors or warnings that may provide additional information about the cause of the problem.
Reset or Reinstall Windows 11: If the issue persists, consider resetting Windows 11. This will reinstall the operating system while keeping your files. If that doesn't work, you might need to perform a clean reinstall.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
