Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am facing hard disk error 3f0 in my laptop while booting. I have 2 drives (1TB HDD & 256gb SSD). When i run smart check for drive 1 which is HDD, it got passed and when i ran for drive 2 which is SSD, the smart check got failed. I have raised the same issue with HP support but they have ordered HDD instead of SSD. Is that correct?

@OS5

There is a numbering issue that makes things confusing.  We refer to the two drives as One and Two.  The OS refers to the two drivers as  Zero and One.  So, when you see an error about disk One, it could be either of the two.

Furthermore, since PCs that come with both an SSD and HDD are preconfigured to boot from the SSD, it is then drive Zero, not drive One.

My own guess is that with booting issues, it would be the SSD, not the HDD, that is failing.

Hi @OS5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
