My friend went off the grid and told me to clean her apartment. She gave me everything she left, including a hp intel core 13 notebook. I tried to log in on it only to find out I did not know her pin. So I was tinkering with the laptop only for a new screen to come up bit locker recovery. Keep in mind I have no contact with her anymore; she went off the grid, went to her apartment to find her debit and credit card cut up, her phone smashed to pieces, and most of her house looked like it was ransacked. I searched up multiple ways to bypass that dread bit locker screen; in the end, I ended up formatting the disk drive only to finally get past the bit locker recovery key page only to see an even worse image that says boot device, not found. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what to do. Keep in mind I tried everything that was in that link.

Hi:

You'll have to reinstall Windows.

Make a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below (2nd option).

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

If you are asked to enter a product key during the installation process, select the 'I don't have a product key' option.

After W11 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from the notebook's support page.
