HP Spectre x360 - 13-4103dx

I’ve been having trouble turning on my computer for over a year now, charging doesn’t seem to help, in fact it seems like it turns on more often if I let the battery die and then plug it in. Recently the charging light has been blinking slowely when it’s plugged in but will still change from orange (charging) to blue (fully charged) indicating that the computer is in fact charging so I don’t know what the blinking means. I do not have a removable battery and everything I have looked up about resetting my computer/battery don’t seem to work any help would be greatly appreciated

@ReConnell

As you probably know, batteries lose their ability to recharge over time.

Sometimes, if you let the battery run completely down, it will then hold a charge longer.

But it's only a matter of time until it will not hold a charge.

I have two laptops and have replaced the batteries in each at least twice over the last 5 years.

Since yours is not easily replaced, you would need to get an estimate from HP about how much it would cost to have them replace it.

Sorry, but this is just a self-help forum staffed mostly by volunteers and we are neither able, nor permitted, to provide any repair estimates.

For repair estimates, you would need to contact an HP Repair or Service Center.
If you live in the U.S., here is a link to the HP Service Repair Centers:

Thanks for the reply WAWood,but the battery can hold a charge when it’s on but the problem is that it won’t turn on even when plugged in, occasionally it does work in which case I try not to shut it off.

Understand, but we can't do anything from here to troubleshoot or fix your PC.

Someone will have to examine it directly to find out what the problem is and what it will take to fix it.
