Product: probook 450 G2
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We're currently in the process of upgrading our campus to Windows 10 and have come across a couple of laptops that are not accepting our default bios password. I've tried various ways to reset through password reset utilities etc... with no joy.

 

Do HP have a process available to reset two HP Probook 450 G2's??

 

No error codes are displayed other than "system is locked out" once the password is inputted too many times. 

 

Any help appreciated.

Hi:

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to help you, since HP will no longer supply the required SMC.bin file that is used to clear the BIOS password.

That is the only way it could be done.

Also the forum rules were amended on 1 March 2019, which no longer allow us to help with providing unlock codes, etc., to clear BIOS passwords. Rule 4.d...
