Is there a place to look up the failure id codes from the system fast test and the extensive test ?

Yes, but it won't tell you any more than you already know.

If it is a hard drive failure code, you will need to replace the hard drive.

Thank you, I just wanted to double check. The code says the memory is bad.

You're very welcome.

 

If it tells you what dimm ID is bad, then you can replace it.

 

If it says 'no dimm id,' and your notebook has two memory modules, then you will have to remove one, and test to see if you get the failure code.  If so, remove that chip and replace it with the first one you removed.

I only have one memory module so I have to replace it and see if that solves the problem.
