Hey so this has happened three times in the past week, but my HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-es0xxx keeps turning off when I close the lid, and just won't turn on afterwards. It has a full charge and the only way to fix it from what I know is to unplug the battery for 30 seconds and re-plug it back in. Since it has happened three times, I am starting to scratch the motherboard. I was wondering what I should do since my warranty has expired 2 years ago and I want to fix this before I cause irreparable damage to the motherboard. -Cheers, MiniGoose

I suspect your laptop cannot wake up from sleep. Probably a driver problem.
Does the problem happen if you click on "shutdown" instead of closing the lid?
Try the following to see if it helps. This will determine if the problem is "sleep"
Change the "close the lid" feature from sleep to hibernate
https://www.makeuseof.com/change-default-lid-close-action-windows/
Please provide the Product ID or exact Model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.
