Hello,

My Brother had a dell with an SK Hynix DDR4 2400mhz(8GB) ram, which I once(before a year or so) inserted in my Notebook (15g-br106tx) alongside my SK Hynix DDR4 2666mhz(8GB) ram and it worked fine, I got 16 gigs of memory.

 

In recent his laptop was dead and I put that ram again in my laptop in slot 2, but the laptop didn't boot and showed me a blank screen with the fan running only.

so I tried some cases

 

CASE 1 -  Slot 1 my ram, Slot 2 his ram = didn't boot.

CASE 2 - Slot 1 his ram, Slot 2 my ram = didn't boot.

CASE 3 - Slot 1 his ram, Slot 2 empty = booted successfully.

CASE 4 - Slot 1 empty, Slot 2 his ram = booted successfully.

CASE5 - Slot 1 empty, Slot 2 my ram = booted successfully.

 

And I figured it out that there's no problem in the ram or slots and I can't understand why it's happening.

Please if anyone knows let me know.
