HP Spectre
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Spectre Laptop has started interrupting its start up and offering me some options keys. It did not do this one week ago. I have performed an extensive system test with no issues. I have also reset the BIOS to factory defaults, but this made no difference. I think that this might just be a toggle which has been set incorrectly. Can anyone advise how to stop this interrupt and just boot as normal? Thank you very much in advance for any help you provide.

@Jamie68,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details and I would appreciate if you could, perhaps elaborate on your concern.

  • What is the exact model for your computer?
  • What are the options you are getting on the startup screen?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!

Take care.

Cheers!

Hi Fossette,

Thank you for the information and your help. I have followed the below video and unfortunately it has not resolved the issue. I did say in my original post that I have already tried this and been unsuccessful. If you have any further ideas then I would be really happy to try them.

Thanks again for your help.

Have you tried the system factory recovery? If no, click here: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04758961 to perform a system factory recovery.

  • Note: Back up all personal files and read all caution statements before performing a system recovery.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
