Hello,
I am facing an issue when I was using the laptop. It suddenly went to Blank Screen and after that there is no Response from the Laptop.
Only Response from Laptop I am receiving is Laptop Power Button is Blink Twice.
1:
1st Power Button Blink stays for 3-4 Secs
2nd Blink Stays for 1 Sec
2: Laptop Charging Connector LED Glows White when adapter is Plugged IN
After this there is no response from Laptop. I have Re-inserted Ram. Re-plugged Battery Connector in Motherboard. Still there is same Response from the laptop. Also Tried Pressing Power button for 15 Secs but was unsuccessful to BOOT.

Hi @WipeIT,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Pavilion laptop is experiencing a hardware issue that is preventing it from booting properly. The blinking LED pattern on the power button often indicates a specific error code, which can help diagnose the problem.
Based on the symptoms you've described.
- Blinking Power Button: The blinking pattern (1 long blink followed by 1 short blink) suggests a potential issue with the system board or another critical component.
- No Display: The laptop screen remains black, indicating that the system is not successfully starting up.
- Attempted Fixes: You've already tried reseating the RAM and re-plugging the battery connector, which are good initial troubleshooting steps.
Here’s what you can try next.
Check HP's Diagnostic Blink Codes
Different models of HP laptops have specific blink codes that indicate different types of hardware issues. To identify what the blink codes mean for your specific model (HP Pavilion 15), you should consult the user manual or the support section of HP's official website.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the AC adapter.
- Remove the battery from the laptop (if removable).
- Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Reinsert the battery (if removable) and reconnect the AC adapter.
- Attempt to power on the laptop again.
Test External Monitor
- Connect an external monitor to the laptop and see if you get any display on the external monitor when attempting to power on the laptop. This can help determine if the issue is with the laptop’s display or with the entire system.
Check for Overheating
- Ensure that the laptop vents are clear and not blocked. Overheating can sometimes cause laptops to shut down unexpectedly and may prevent them from booting properly afterward.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
