Product: OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xf0000 IDS Base Model

When I start my laptop, the Omen screen appears, then when the login screen should appear its black. The light on the power button remains on. The laptop will not wake up to key input or mouse input, but will wake up after hitting the power button again. I tried a system restore to a couple of days ago and no fix.
