My Laptop HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV) doesn´t turn on anymore. In the morning it didn't have any problems, I went out and few hours later having it charged all day the laptop was turned off, and won´t turn on, the AC led light is also off. There is no response at all. The cable is the original and has no damage.
The only information I can add, is that a few months ago the PC would have an extreme framerate and performance drop only when connected to the AC. After some BIOS and drivers update the problem that problem did stop. No clue if both problems are connected.

I´ve read disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it might help.

Thank you for your help.

Hi @Nicolascristi ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop is not turning on and there is no response when you press the power button, it could be due to various reasons. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

Check Power Source:

  • Make sure the power outlet is working. Try plugging in another device or use a different outlet.
  • Confirm that the power cable is securely connected to both the laptop and the power outlet.
  • Verify that the power cable is not damaged.

Reset Power:

  • Disconnect the laptop from the power source.
  • Remove the laptop battery (if possible).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery (if removed) and plug in the power cable.
  • Try turning on the laptop.

Try a Different Power Adapter:

  • If possible, try using a different compatible power adapter to rule out any issues with the current adapter.

Inspect for Physical Damage:

  • Check the power port on the laptop for any physical damage.
  • Inspect the power cable for any signs of wear or damage.

BIOS Update:

  • If the laptop had performance issues before, it's worth checking if there are any BIOS updates available for your model on the HP website. However, updating the BIOS carries some risk, so proceed with caution and follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Check for Indicator Lights:

  • Some laptops have indicator lights that show power or battery status. If there are no lights, it could indicate a power supply issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
