Hello. I just wanted to reinstall windows 10 on my girlfriend's laptop cuz it was lagging. So I did it and I decided to replace thermal paste that has been there for over three years and i missed up... I did it sloppy cuz I don't know much about laptops, unlike computers that I have always used, so i think I broke it somewhere or something.

When i'm turning it on, the screen doesn't show anything and caps lock blinking for 1 time cyclically. Is there any ways to fix it?

First off, reinstall Windows will NOT fix a lag issue -- as that is nearly always hardware.  Usually, that makes thing worse and ends up trashing the PC.

 

Second, you opened it up and messed it up -- clearly NOT knowing what you were doing.

 

We have no way to access or diagnose any damage you did to it.  You will have to take it to a laptop service facility and have them look at it.  It is very likely NOW, not able to be fixed.
