Laptop not booting with new m.2 ssd

HP Pavilion Gaming 17-Cd0016nq
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I recently bought an m.2 NVMe ssd for my laptop but when i tried to change it the laptop just wouldn't boot up. The ssd i bought is ADATA XPG SX6000 Pro PCIe Gen3x4, 512GB, M.2 2280. I updated the bios to the latest version and have everything else up to date. If you can give me a hint about what could be causing this issue or how to solve it it would be great, thanks.

@ghiondes

You said it will not "boot up" -- but with a blank drive, it certainly is not going to get far.

Please provide details of what happens when you try to boot from the drive.
