HP Laptop 15-bs1xx

I have HP Laptop 15-bs1xx  . It is two years old. For the past few days my laptop was shutting down without any warning when battery percentage was around 60-70%. Today it was not turning on without plugging in the charger. When I logged in , the battery icon showed - "plugged in (92% available)". Thought it was showing 92% but it was not charging nor there was any indicator displaying message not charging. When I pulled the charger out , my laptop immediately turned off.

I tired a few thing to this.

1) Ran HP Support Assistant battery check and it passed the test.

2) Ran AC Adapter test and it passed the test.

3) Uninstalled   Microsoft ACPI -Compliant Control Method Battery , restarted the computer ,still shows plugged in (92% available)  but does not indicate that battery is not charging.

4) Updated BIOS version.

5) Booted the laptop without battery and the battery icon showed "No battery present plugged in (255% available)".

Is my battery completely dead? or it's not getting charged and showing wrong percentage. Please help me fix this. I want to make sure that it's not a battery issue so that I can decide whether to buy a new one or  not.
