HP Notebook - 15-bw005ds

I have the HP Notebook - 15-bw005ds and I've had it for a while but haven't used it until recently for school. Lately, anytime my laptop has been inactive, it will shut down. It starts by displaying a blue screen with the word "locking" and a white dotted circle, then the screen goes black. My sleep settings are off, so the laptop is never supposed to shut off until I close the lid or press the power off. This gets very annoying, can anyone please help me fix this?
