In early February, my 14s-dq2515tu laptop functioned normally, and the battery had no problems. One time I was using my laptop, it suddenly shut down and when I turned it on, it gave a "60xbatteryerror" error. The laptop had also smelled like chemicals from then on. After this, this has always happened when I tried using my laptop on battery. It would work for a few minutes but then would shut down. Now, it no longer works on battery, and lasts around 10 minutes on charger. As I was typing this, the computer showed "Locking..." on the screen and shut down, the way it would shut down when the battery would almost be dead. It now gives the "500bioserror".
Other info- It has, since 2022, sometimes froze for a few minutes while charging. I suspect that this has happened due to me overusing this laptop in early 2022 and leaving it on 24*7 for a month, possibly damaging the CPU.
Does anybody know a fix and cause to the battery and startup problem?

Hi @Mfic9292,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Error 60, or 60x, on an HP 14s-dq2515tu laptop usually indicates a battery-related issue, specifically a battery failure or low capacity.
Please try to run a BIOS Restore and see if this helps resolve the error, or we might have to perform advanced troubleshooting steps, and we need to run a battery test on the Pc. Keep me posted.
BIOS Restore :
1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
