G’day! Just hopping in to try and solve a couple problems with my laptop. So basically what’s happening is when I press the power button, its powering on for not even half a second (like the power button light flashes, the fans spin for a tiny bit and the display flickers) and then turns back off again, and it just loops and goes on forever until I hold down the power button to shut it off.
A week prior to the problem, I cloned my SSD and installed a fresh one, and the laptop worked flawlessly up until now. Earlier today I was watching some YouTube and then my laptop randomly blue screens with the error message “CRITICAL_PROCESS_FAILED” and the laptop restarted itself. It was then stuck on the HP boot screen for a long time, just loading. I tried holding down the power button to shut it off, then turn it back on again, and then it showed the error code ‘3FO’ which is boot drive not found. I tried scanning for drives but it just couldn’t search for my SSD. I then turned it off again and opened up the laptop to take out the SSD and put it back in, same problem. I then tried reinstalling the memory, and then the boot looping problem occurred. Basically, I’m trying to fix 2 problems, but I’ll worry about the drive not found problem once the boot loop issue is repaired. This is a really strange situation for me, and any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!
