HP x360 310 G1
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello.

I was reparing a HP x360 310 G1 for a friend of mine. It only gave BSOD's.

After being able to change boot sequens I could reinstall windows 8.1.

After that I downloaded the appropriate file for bios update and ran the bios update.

This went without problems. Laptop rebooted, again a little block of bios flashing was visible and went to 100%.

Then the computer shutdown again, started, but screen stayed black.

Now everytime when I power up the system, the power button led is on, I can hear the cpu fan blowing for around 2-3 seconds and then it stops.

Screen stays black and power button led stays on, but nothing happens.

I tried using the bios reset by holding the windows key and B and push the powerbutton for a couple of seconds and let it go, but holding the 2 keys as advised, but nothing happens. Sometimes I see a little light in the shift key blinking a couple of times (I thought 2 times) but screen stays black, so it does not turn on.

I wanted to remove the bios battery to see if that helps and got out all screws, but at the moment I'm still searching on how to open the laptop, I don't want to break things.

So it would be very nice if I could fix this problem some how.

Regards, Richard
