i was last using my laptop the other day, I pressed the power button and it turned on, it was plugged in. I then noticed the battery wasn't charging, but the battery icon in windows task bar shown it was plugged in. So I decided to unplugged the power adapter, then plug it back in. After doing so the battery icon shown that it was not plugged in, and was running off the battery. So decided to do a reboot, it rebooted, still the running off  battery icon was displayed.

At this point the battery was really low, so I put into hibernation mode. And left it to charge, tried to power up the laptop and the laptop still will not turn on. Even though the LED to indicate that its charging turns on.

When not plugged in, the laptop will not do anything. when i plug in the power adapter,  the LED to indicate that its charging turns on.

i have unplugged the battery, and tried to run it when ac plug is connected. i have done a hard reset multiple times, holding down the power button for times ranging from 10 seconds to 1 minute, which does not seem to do any good, as the led charge light comes on but doesn't power up the laptop.

The led next to the adapter input are the only signs that the laptop is receiving power.

i know, i have some type of hardware issue, and im unsure of what. Whether it's the power adapter or the battery. Reason I say this is because the battery did discharge from 30% charge to 3% in less than a minute. Please someone help.
