Hp Elitebook bang and Olufsen i5
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Yesterday I installed a game that had Paudi Manager Win 32 fusion core and offercore caught by Windows defender. I removed it and deleted the programs.

Next day laptop is not turning off or on. It is stuck on black screen with power button lit. Pressing power button for long period, it gets unlit, and HP logo pops up for 2 seconds and keyboard lights on before going dark again. The screen shows a code on the top of HP logo and on bottom left corner it shows setup then screen goes black again and power button remain on.

Laptop does not have removable battery. Please help. Is it the virus that has caused it?

Even knowing the specific version of the malware still does not tell us everything it was designed to to.  Most modern malware is ransomware -- where the person who infected your PC will have it put up a screen demanding money to unlock the PC and return access to you.  It's rare that malware will simply stop a PC from starting -- as that gives the person no feedback and no reward for their efforts.

In addition, some malware is really good at hiding from Antivirus products, so even if you run the best of them and it finds nothing, that is no guarantee that you PC is not infected.

There is no way to disinfect a PC but leave the files or accounts intact -- and virtually any of those files could be hiding copies of the virus.  So the only way to rid the PC of it is to remove the drive, connect it to another PC, and run a Secure Erase application against the drive.  That overwrites the entire drive with random ones and zeros and removes EVERYTHING that was on it.  You then have to reinstall HP OEM Windows from scratch to the drive and restart all over from the beginning with everything you have.

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Windows and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.

You will need a working PC and a 32GB USB stick to hold the recovery files. Here is the link:

You use the Microsoft Store to download the actual tool:

If you use a different PC to run the tool, you will have to provide your PC's product number. Here is an HP link for finding that information:
