Laptop won't turn on, charging light comes on when plugged in

i recently had a liquid spilled next to my laptop while i was out, therefore couldn't tell if it had leaked in anywhere when i got home. the charging light always comes on when the laptop is plugged in. when i first tried to power it on, the power light came on for a few seconds then went off. now, the laptop shows zero signs of life other than charging completely fine
